This study aims to comprehensively investigate the current advances in water treatment technologies for elimination of heavy metals using biomass-based adsorbents. The enhancement adsorption capacity biomass materials is achieved through surface modification, which increases their porosity and area. therefore focuses on impact different modification techniques capacity, as well evaluation adsorptive removal analysis various isotherm kinetics models applied metal contaminants. utilization kinetic sorption crucial it provides a theoretical background understand predict efficiency adsorbent materials. In contrast previous studies, this research examines wide range materials, providing comprehensive understanding efficacy removing from wastewater. also delves into foundations models, highlighting strengths, limitations, effectiveness describing performance Moreover, sheds light regenerability adsorbents potential engineering applications. Valuable insights state-of-the-art methods wastewater cleanup resources required future developments were discussed.
